Rift Valley

It will likely be a couple of days before you hear from us again! In 1/2 hour we will drive out of Nairobi and into the great Rift Valley of Kenya, stopping only to pick up the solar powered laptop we vetted last night for our coordinator. In Central, my new friend, Beatrice Mwaniki has cared for us with more generosity and care than I can express. Carolina Lentupuru runs a very different sort of program in Rift Valley and she is opening her home to us. She is putting up our tents today and preparing a traditional Masai village welcoming feast. I am very excited to see the route into the valley that has inspired awe in travelers for millennia, but I am even more excited to finally meet Caroline in person and to talk with our Rift Valley students. We will greet you next from Nyanza!
